New commercial waste contracts
All commercial premises have a 'duty of care' under section 33 and 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to ensure that waste produced is kept in a safe manner and is only transferred to a person or persons legally entitled to transport or dispose of it.
Failure to comply may result in legal action being taken where the maximum penalties are:
- In Magistrates Court: - a fine not exceeding £5,000 for each offence of failing to comply with the above.
- In Crown Court – an unlimited fine.
- £300 Fixed Penalty Notice for each offence of failing to comply with the above.
If you would like to arrange for us to collect your trade waste or recycling we ask you to sign an annual contract. A yearly charge of £20 applies to all commercial waste contracts for the Duty Of Care Document.
Recycling
All businesses have a responsibility to ensure that recyclable waste (paper, card, plastic, tins/cans and glass) is recycled wherever possible. We offer a reliable and competitive recycling service to all businesses. Recycling contracts are provided at half the cost of the refuse collections.

To request a contract, please complete the form below.
Once your contract has been signed and a deposit made, we will arrange delivery of your wheeled bin(s), and an send you an invoice.
Invoices are issued twice per year for our refuse service (April and October) and once for our food waste and recycling services (April). Alternatively, you can make monthly payments by direct debit.
