Planning Annual Performance Report

Welsh Government has identified a suite of performance monitoring indicators for Local Planning Authority planning services in Wales.  These were developed in collaboration with:

• The Welsh Local Government Association;
• The Planning Officers' Society for Wales; and
• The Welsh Local Government Data Unit. 

The indicators are used to demonstrate how well Authorities are performing, individually and in relation to a Wales-wide context.

Each Authority must prepare an Annual Report, by mid-October each year, for the preceding financial year.  These commenced with the Report for 2014-15.

The APPR is available below and reports on performance across a range of planning service areas.  There is also a link to the Local Development Plan Annual Monitoring Report, which forms an annex to the APPR.
