Another successful Choose to Lose weight loss challenge comes to a close
The Autumn Leisure Lifestyle Choose to Lose weight loss challenge finished last week with amazing results being recorded across the county borough.

The eight week weight loss challenge ran from four locations spread across the County Borough with individuals receiving personalised training programmes and one-to-one support from staff.

The winner of the overall award registering a staggering 25.5lbs loss was Sarah Richards. Upon finishing the programme, Sarah commented:

“My weight was getting me down as I weighed nearly the same as just before I'd had my daughter 28 years ago. I was in a Group Cycling class when someone mentioned 'Chose to Lose' was starting in a week's time and how it had helped them lose weight, so I signed up.

I was contacted by Chris and told I'd be on his team, he explained how the programme worked and asked me to make a note of how much weight I'd like to lose. I started counting my calories, attended more classes and started going into the gym. With Chris's support the weight started to come off and I have to shout out to our wonderful team who've been so supportive along with those in my keep fit classes.

On final weigh-in I'd lost 25 and half lb, I was over the moon and I aim to continue my weight loss journey at Caerphilly Leisure Centre with the wonderful staff and my keep-fit buddies”.

The Choose to Lose team at Caerphilly Leisure Centre lost a total of 135lbs. Chris Eatwell, a fitness instructor who led the winning team commented:

“With the difficulty of lockdown this challenge was a reminder that we must put our well-being, health and fitness as a top priority in our lives. Massive congratulations to Sarah and the rest of ‘Team Chris’ as they performed exceptionally well and I’m very proud of all the results they achieved”.

Look out for the next Choose to Lose weight loss challenge starting later this year. You can keep up to date by following us on social media and by asking at your local leisure centre.
