Coalfields Community Grants

This programme is for community and voluntary organisations who can demonstrate that a grant will impact positively on people living in the former coalfield areas of Wales within the following themes:

  • Tackling poverty
  • Job creation and employment support
  • Energy efficiency in community building
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Social Enterprise Development
  • Community cohesion and engagement
  • Skills and training
  • Financial inclusion

Who’s entitled to apply?

Third sector organisations that are based or delivering services to people living in the designated former Coalfields areas of Wales. Information on eligible wards can be found on the website: www.coalfields-regen.org.uk.

How to apply

By completing a Project Enquiry Form available at www.coalfields-regen.org.uk or by calling 01443 404 455 or email wales@coalfields-regen.org.uk. For additional local assistance and support contact the GAVO Third Sector Development Manager Caerphilly on Tel 01633 241550.

What is the level of grant available?

Grants are available for between £500 and £7,000 pounds for a 12 month period. Revenue and capital grants are available.

How often are grant applications considered?

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and decisions are usually made within 12 weeks of submission.
