Voluntary Sector Projects Technical Assistance

To assist local organisations in bidding for funds by providing technical assistance, for example, to generate ground surveys, building condition surveys, outline architectural drawings for example.

Who is entitled to apply?

Charities and voluntary organisations undertaking a capital project.

How to apply

By application form available from Caerphilly County Borough Council, Policy Unit, Penallta House, Tredomen Park, Ystrad Mynach, Hengoed CF82 7PG, or by contacting GAVO, Third Sector Development Manager, gina.jones@gavowales.org.uk by telephone 01633 241550, or by post at GAVO, Ty Derwen, Church Road, Newport, S. Wales, NP19 7EJ. 

What level of grant is available?

Up to a maximum value of £4,800 including 20% VAT. however smaller requested amounts will be viewed more favourably, and are more likely to be successful. Property Services at Caerphilly County Borough Council will be the preferred source for this technical advice.

How often are applications considered?

Deadlines: 30 April, 30 June and 30 September each year, subject to funding availability. 

It is expected that successful groups will spend the award as soon as possible, but definitely within the
financial year. If the award is only partly expended, the remainder will be absorbed back into the main Technical Assistance fund. There will be no carry over into the following year financial year.
