Monmouthshire Farm School Endowment Trust Fund

To support students undertaking Land Based or Agricultural courses. Preference is made to those under the age of 25 years old. The area of benefi t is the former County of Monmouthshire in 1956 and will cover communities including Rhymney, Abertysswg, New Tredegar, Aberbargoed, Markham, Pengam, Cefn Fforest, Blackwood, Pontllanfraith, Oakdale, Crumlin, Newbridge, Maesycwmmer, Abercarn, Cwmfelinfach, Crosskeys, Risca, Bedwas and Machen.

Who’s entitled to apply?

Students undertaking agricultural based course and related subjects in any college, or university as a student of agriculture, or related subjects, (i.e. agricultural studies, veterinary studies, equine studies, forestry, blacksmithing course, etc.)

How to apply

An application form can be downloaded from Monmouthshire County Council website or by calling the Children and Young People Finance team on 01633 644994. Please send your completed application form to Student Awards Team, CYP Finance, PO Box 106 Caldicot. NP26 9AN

What is the level of grant available?

The students are asked to list individual items of expenditure and these will be considered by the Trustees. Any award that may be offered is made on the basis of the information detailed on the application form.

How often are grant applications considered?

Twice a year in October and January.
