What is Autism?

Autism is a different way of experiencing the world. A person with Autism may process information about their surroundings differently to others. This can mean that a child/adult may have differences in the way they relate to the world and people around them.

Autism is a spectrum, which means that everyone can experience it differently. However, the majority of autistic individuals can have challenges in the areas of communication, social interactions, imagination (flexibility of thought) and sensory processing.
