Childcare Offer for Wales

Under the Childcare Offer for Wales, you could claim up to 30 hours of early education and childcare in Wales per week, for up to 48 weeks of the year. The scheme aims to make life a bit easier for parents/carers by providing support with childcare costs.

The Childcare Offer has already helped parents/carers from all over Wales to return to work, increase their hours or work more flexibly. One of the aims of the scheme is to give working parents/carers a bit of extra money every month, to spend on the things that are important to their family.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for the Childcare Offer for Wales you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Your child is aged 3 or 4 years who is able to access part time education
  • You live in Caerphilly County Borough

  • Both parents are employed but one or both parents are temporarily away from the workplace on statutory sick pay; or
  • One parent is employed and one parent is disabled or incapacitated based on receipt of specific benefits;
