Caerphilly Food Festival

Saturday 7 May 2022

Caerphilly Food Festival has been an annual event for Caerphilly Town Centre for a number of years and takes place between 9am and 5pm on Saturday 7th May. Following a 2 year break due to Covid -19 the festival is now back with a vengeance for 2022!

Visitors can wander through the many stalls from the top of Cardiff Road to Twyn Car Park, taking in the spectacular view of the magnificent 13th Century Caerphilly Castle that is located at the heart of the event. Approximately 70 food and craft stalls will align the streets creating a hive of activity.

The town centre is transformed into a marketplace bursting with an array of culinary delights; it is a food lover’s paradise with a large number food and drink stalls to tempt visitor’s taste buds with delicious aromas and mouth-watering produce.

A programme of cookery demonstrations is planned throughout the day and the event joins forces with the established monthly markets that take place in the town centre. The Artisan Market at Twyn Community Centre, Castle Court Shopping Centres Food and Craft Market and The Cenotaph’s Craft Fair by Craft Legs bring even more variety to the table, boosting the overall stall quantity to over 130 different high-quality food, drink and craft traders!

Street entertainers will be roaming around the festival throughout the day to keep everyone amused and there will be a small selection of children’s funfair rides to keep the little ones entertained.

The town centre has a lovely selection of independent stores with some quirky gift ideas and there are also a number of high street stores. Caerphilly offers wide variety of eating out venues throughout the town centre from cafes, bars and restaurants; so #ChooseLocal and support your local town centre.

The event will be located on Cardiff Road, Twyn Road, Castle Street (Northbound carriageway only) & Twyn Car Park where there will be a road closure in place from 9pm on Friday 6th May until 9pm on Saturday 7th May.
