Overview
|
The Council has been approached by the Agape Community Church Ty Sign (ACCTS) to support the development of a new purpose-built community hall in Holly Road, Tŷ Sign, Risca and are seeking to acquire a long term lease on an identified area of land to deliver the project.
The ACCTS have proposed that the new facility will be available for hire / access to all community based groups/organisations and aims to provide a modern, fit for purpose building in the Ty Sign area.
The ACCTS have secured external funding from a range of stakeholders including Welsh Government and the Big Lottery to support the project.

Why are we consulting
|
This consultation allows residents to share their views on the proposal to lease the identified area of land and is one part of the process the council will use to make a decision on this issue.

6 week consultation commencing the 9th August 2021. Approximately 10 days from the consultation ending to complete the analysis. Findings will form part of Cabinet report – date to be confirmed.

That local residents engage fully with the consultation, providing a range of views that will inform and support the decision regarding the request to provide a lease to the identified area of land.
