Notification letter

Dear Consultee,

In line with the requirements of the Welsh Government’s Federation of Maintained Schools (Wales) Regulations 2014, we are writing to inform you about a proposal the Council is submitting in relation to establishing a Federation of School Governing Bodies.

The proposal is in connection with:

• Cwmaber Infants School and Cwmaber Junior School

The federation of schools is a legal process enabling between two and six schools to work together through a formal structure by sharing a governing body that will make decisions in the best interests of all the schools, staff and learners in that federation.

The governing bodies of Cwmaber Infant School and Cwmaber Junior School have met individually and jointly with the local authority to promote a formal federation involving the 2 schools.

The consultation period will run from the 2^nd September 2024 to the 1^st  October 2024.
