Pupils across Caerphilly County Borough celebrate GCSE Results day

Schools across Caerphilly County Borough are celebrating GCSE examination results today as pupils who sat exams in the summer term have been picking up their results.

To mark the occasion, pupils from across the county borough have returned to their schools to celebrate their achievements with teachers and staff as they discover how they performed in these important milestone exams.

There are a variety of options for those receiving results including further education in either sixth form or via several colleges within the county borough. Pupils also have the option to search for apprenticeships or employment opportunities.

Cllr Carol Andrews, Cabinet Member for Education and Communities said, “Well Done and Congratulations to all our pupils who have collected their GCSE results today. I hope the work you have put in over the past year has given you the results that you wanted.

I wish you all the very best moving forward whether you would like to remain in education and complete your A-Levels or you would like to explore different options. For now, enjoy your celebrations and the rest of your summer holidays with friends and family – you deserve it”.

Keri Cole, Chief Education Officer commented, “Today has been another successful results day for our county borough which reflects the hard work teachers, staff and pupils have put in over the past year.

I know today will be a proud day for each of our pupils and our amazing school communities will support our learners in their next steps. A huge congratulations to each one of you who is celebrating results today”

Caerphilly County Borough Council is very proud of the efforts of our learners this year and wishes every pupil the best in their next endeavours.
