Caerphilly County Borough Council Unveils Increased Events Programme 2024-25
Caerphilly County Borough Council is excited to announce its comprehensive events programme for 2024-25, featuring a variety of engaging events that have been crafted to provide something for everyone.
 
This lineup will see the return of a number of popular events starting next spring. Below, we take a look in more detail regarding what we can expect from this programme. Some of the highlights include:
 
Ystrad Mynach & Blackwood Spring Fair’s – Featuring food and craft stalls, alongside a selection of funfair rides for children – the towns will be brought to life as springtime arrives!
 
Flying Food Festival Risca – This event is for all food lovers! Coming to Risca in September 2024, this is one not to be missed!
 
Bargoed Lantern Workshops – In the run up to the festive season, this FREE family fun event is a great opportunity for children to make an extra special festive lantern in Bargoed Town Centre.
 
Pride Caerffili – Following a hugely successful inaugural event last year, Pride Caerffili is back once again! The day long celebration will feature an iconic Pride Parade and live entertainment – as our community comes together to recognise and celebrate the contributions made by LGBTQ+ people in our society.
 
Blackwood and Risca Beach Party’s – The iconic Beach Party will return to both Blackwood and Risca in 2024. Stalls will line the streets, food & crafts will be on sale and live entertainment will set the perfect backdrop as the Town Centres are turned into beachfronts. Expect a lot of sand and entertainment!
 
Cllr Jamie Pritchard, Deputy Leader And Cabinet Member For Prosperity, Regeneration And Climate Change commented:
“The events programme is very popular and helps to bring many thousands of people into our town centres. We have made a conscious decision to increase the events programme in 24/25 due to the popularity of the events and our drive to listen to the business community. We wanted to get the 2024/25 programme agreed to be able to offer this positive news, well in advance”.
