Risca’s first Food FEASTival deemed a huge success
Posted on : 24 Sep 2024
Tredegar Park was host to the first Risca Food FEASTival on Saturday 14th September.
The FEASTival featured a whole load of tasty treats, cookery demonstrations, funfair rides and plenty of other activities for the thousands of visitors to enjoy.
Over 3,500 visitors were recorded at the event via the town centre footfall and some of the parks entry gates.
Many traders at the FEASTival had sold out by midday and lots of local businesses were also well supported.
Hear what local traders and businesses thought of the FEASTival:
Eleris Welshcakes said “We had an absolutely fantastic day - a brilliant event.”
Aga Farm commented “What a fantastic day! And what a lovely venue, it felt so well organised and I loved the layout. The atmosphere was great.”
Snug Coffee Shop said “What a gorgeous day! Seeing that many people enjoy the space was great. All the available space to sit was great and the children’s craft / cooking area was genius. There was something to see wherever you looked, and we had record sales! A huge thanks to the Events Team.”
Monmouthshire Building Society also commented “We were happy to be involved and we thought it was a good day for the community. It was a really good turn out and it was nice to see the community come together and enjoy the variety of stalls.”
Cllr Jamie Pritchard, Cabinet Member for Prosperity, Regeneration, and Climate Change also said “The feedback we’ve received has been very positive and encouraging. It was a very successful day in Risca, with thousands of people coming to the town. Thank you to all visitors and businesses for supporting the event.”
