Help with combined sight and hearing difficulties

Combined hearing and sight difficulties can range from being deaf and blind to being hard of hearing and partially sighted.

The service you will have is provided by Rehabilitation Officers for Visual Impairment (ROVI).

ROVI’s are specialists in combined hearing and sight difficulties. They will talk to you about your hearing and sight loss and any problems you might be having and will give you a special assessment.

The  service aims to give you the right information and skills so you can have more independence in your home and community.

  • Advice and information – this includes advice about communication, mobility and information about local services
  • Equipment – we can loan you special equipment to help with sight and hearing loss
  • Skill teaching  to increase confidence, communication  and support your independence
  • Referrals to third sector and other  related support services
