The business was awarded £12,660.56 Capital and £1271.50 Revenue through the CEF Business Development Grant.
Overall, Spirafix Ground Anchors Ltd have received £13,932.06 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This grant was dedicated towards Spirafix Ground Anchors Ltd through Caerphilly County Borough Council’s intervention of UKSPF funds. The grant was matched funded by the company to help move into bigger premises and relocate to the area. They employed 9 members of staff and are hoping to create 2 new immediate start jobs as well as future jobs with predicted growth.
Before receiving the grant, they had been working within the Newport authority for the past 20+ years. After a R&D exercise they have increased their business by 15% and the growth is continuing due to longevity of contracts.
The businesses future plans are to keep growing, keep production going, and to increase the number of piling machines they have.
Adam Sadler, Principal Business Development Officer at Caerphilly County Brough Council, commented “It is a pleasure to welcome such a fantastic business to the borough and the CCBC business team look forward to supporting them further as they continue their growth.”
Paul Clatworthy said “I’m very grateful for the support given by the Council’s business team, Sally Harvey has guided us through the grant process and made it very easy to apply for. The grant has helped us locate to much larger premises and fast track our expansion. Our employees are all local and so relocating to this area has been ideal.”
