Caerphilly County Borough Council will be undertaking essential replacement works to an existing under road Surface Water Culvert at Commercial Street, Pontllanfraith adjacent to the Bridge Vets starting on the 23 January 2023 for two weeks.
The culvert is in a poor condition and will require an open excavation of the road at depths up to 3m to allow the replacement to be undertaken. Due to the nature of the works and the lack of space to undertake these works in a phased manner i.e. one half at a time under traffic control signals the road will need to be closed and a diversion route installed.

HGV and LGV vehicles will have full access to Tram Road from the East (two-way signal controlled) for all businesses.
Bridge Vets car park and the fuel station access will be maintained to the West and access to the commercial units behind the vets will maintain access from the East.
All Traffic Management will remain in place 24hrs a day for the full duration of the works.
