Proclamation ceremony to be held in Caerphilly
Posted on : 09 Sep 2022
Caerphilly County Borough Council has announced plans to hold a local Proclamation Ceremony, following the sad passing of Her Majesty the Queen, formally declaring the accession of the new sovereign King Charles III.
The reading of the Proclamation will take place at 4pm on Sunday 11th September at the steps of the Twyn community centre in Caerphilly town and will be led by Deputy Mayor for the county borough, Cllr Mike Adams.
Members of the public are invited to attend this historic event.
Residents are advised that the Twyn car park will remain closed for the whole day on Sunday; the Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
