Council reminds public to give views on gambling policy
Posted on : 02 Nov 2021
Caerphilly County Borough Council is reminding members of the public to give their views on a review of its gambling policy.
The council is undertaking a review of its Statement Licensing Policy under the Gambling Act. The Gambling Act 2005 requires that Licensing Authorities publish a Statement of Licensing Policy which sets out the various factors that it will consider when applications are received.
These will include the way it deals with applications for premises licences for betting offices, adult gaming and family entertainment centres and when granting permits for gaming and gaming machines in clubs and pubs and small society lotteries.
Businesses and members of the public are encouraged to view the council’s proposed revised policy and to
submit views online.
For more information or for those unable to complete the survey online can call 01443 866750 or email
licensing@caerphilly.gov.uk
. The consultation will close on 8th November 2021.
