Your rent, your views survey
Over the last few years, Council tenants in the Caerphilly county borough have been asked to give their views on the rent that they pay.
As a result of the feedback we received from previous surveys we will be letting tenants know every year how we have spent their rent money. Also, the Council’s Cabinet has agreed to adopt the Joseph Rowntree Foundation Living Rents model within our existing rent policy and review it every 2 years as a minimum. We will now have to consider affordability of our rents each year.
We listened to the feedback from tenants in our short Spring survey and it was agreed to take the average household earnings from across the County Borough and not break it down into areas or bands.
We want tenants to give us their views on whether they think their rent is fair, affordable and if the service they receive is value for money. We also want to know more about how the rise in the cost of living is affecting tenants. Feedback will be used by the Council when deciding on rent charges for 2023 and to understand how we can help tenants in the future.
Tenants are asked to give their views by completing a brief online survey.
Every tenant who enters and provides their contact details will be entered into a prize draw – there’s £150 for one lucky winner and 3 more will win £50 in shopping vouchers.
