High level of fly-tipping incidents within the borough
The Environmental Crime Team have noticed a high surge in fly-tipping incidents across the county borough.

Household waste is being carelessly dumped next to our litter bins and is becoming a serious problem with incidents regularly occurring at the A472 and A467 lay-bys.

Leaving bags of household waste next to public bins is considered fly-tipping. These bins are designed for small bits of litter, not for household waste.

Fly-tipping is a serious environmental crime, and if proven, could lead to prosecution. It not only looks unsightly but also costs taxpayers a significant amount to clean up. It can be detrimental to our communities, wildlife, and the environment.

Proper waste disposal is extremely important, and we urge residents to learn what goes in each of your bins. You can find detailed information on our website here.
